Restaurant Web-Startup Information

This is an opportunity to start your own online business using our already-built Restaurant Locator System, which has been 6 months in the making. HungryHorn is one such example of our system in use: http://www.hungryhorn.com/

It is targeted at Austin residents, and connecting them to all the wonderful local restaurants in and around the city. It uses the latest AJAX techniques, robust javascript libraries, and is built on a solid PHP framework.

The webapp's focus lies at the local city level. The system is designed for use in all cities, the above website is one example of the system in use for the city of Austin. This system can be expanded to your city, and that's where you come in. We will work with the entrepreneur to rebrand hungryhorn to fit the atmosphere of their city with a new logo, color scheme, and domain name. The entrepreneur will be granted use of the webservice's core system for their city. We will also supply the entrepreneur with a startup kit which includes demo videos showing how to use the system, as well as demo sales presentations, and some initial advertisement materials (tailored to your new website) to help get you started.

The business model is simple: local restaurants signup for the service at a monthly rate determined by your marketing team (suggested monthly rate: $199/mo). The businesses would be approached by a sales group assembled by the entrepreneur. Upon signing the business, we will provide access to a personalized restaurant page, as well as google adwords, and advertisement on the site itself.

Each restaurant entered in the system is $99/month, the majority of which is applied to Google Adwords, as well as maintenance and upgrades to the system. This monthly charge is waived for the first month as a courtesy.

The key ingredient here is local advertising: college campuses, hotels, and the like. The entrepreneur must be intimately knowledgeable of their city. As stated above, we will provide a one-time bundle of advertisements initially, however your team must come up with creative ways of advertising in and around your city with materials and medium of your choosing.

At this point it is important to note that the entrepreneur would not need any technical knowledge in the area of programing, web-design, databases, or any other online technology. All updates, maintenance, hosting, and technical support would be managed by our company. The entrepreneur should be proficient in management, sales, and marketing, as they will setup anything necessary for their respective city.

Again, you will be hooking into an existing system, so any maintenance, functionality expansion, etc would happen automatically (you would not be involved with the product development).
